In 2014 I relocated and I probably started preparing for that relocation at the end of 2013. I had so many things to take care of in the new place as well as the old place... Relocation is never easy and when you are a single mom can be a lot more challenging. I am so thankful to my family for helping me - I couldn't have done it without them. I had to adjust to a lot of changes so my mind was away from pole dancing for a while. I am sure that I looked up pole studios in my new area but I had to make sure that my work is going ok and my daughter's studies are going ok, needed to get the place fully furnished and so on. All of that didn't happen over night so I knew I had to hold off on pole classes for a little while longer. There was a brief moment when I felt that maybe that was it... maybe I've tried pole dancing and it didn't fit in my life anymore so I'm not going to continue... Then one day I was having a coffee on the balcony with a friend of mine and her birthday was coming up so I suggested that as a gift I could get her a pole lesson :) We went together and we had a lot of fun :) The summer of 2016 was my most active summer - I believe that in June 2016 I attended lessons every week :) I found out that I actually remember some stuff - I was able to do the basic climb, sit and couple other simple moves that I learned in Israel. It didn't feel like I was starting all over again, it felt more like I am continuing almost where I left of. After the lesson me and my friend both were struggling to walk normally and sit and tie our shoes cos all the muscles in our bodies felt sore. The next day too, we could barely use our arms and hands ;) it was so totally worth it. The best kind of tiredness ever :) Nowadays thank goodness, there are pole dance studios offering classes at many locations - all over the world :)
So no, relocation is not an obstacle - you can easily carry on practicing pole, unless you really want to stop attending classes or you can't afford them. Relocating can of course slow you down but it cannot stop you. In that gap of time when I wasn't attending lessons, I started missing pole classes and I realized that I feel happier when I practice pole dance.
